Announcing Adalyn

Sweet Adalyn is almost 2 years old and lives in an Eastern European orphanage. Her caregivers say she is a good girl and has potential for better development. They describe her as a happy little girl and very nice. They don’t have special nipples or palate appliances, so her nutrition is poor, she is tiny and fragile and she badly needs to get started with surgical interventions.

Cindy first started looking at the waiting children listed on Reece's Rainbow after friends brought their adopted children home. She started talking to Dennis, but he just wasn’t ready. So she started praying along with two of her girlfriends Lisa and Debbie that God would change Dennis’s heart. Then Cindy saw a new little girl Adalyn listed and she knew instantly that this was her daughter. You see, three of our children were born with cleft lip and one was born with bilateral lip, gum and palate. This last child's middle name is Alyn and so is Dennis’s. God had already named our little girl. So Cindy went to Dennis and told him about this little baby and at 1:30 Saturday, May 26th Dennis said 'Yes'!

We have stepped out on faith knowing God will provide everything we will need to bring Adalyn home. Please pray for us!

  1. I just wanted to say congrats on your little girl! I advocate for the kids on Reece's Rainbow and I was the one who got to name Adalyn :) I picked that name because I have two daughters, Addison and Ashlyn, and I just put the two together and Adalyn means "Noble" which I thought was beautiful. I am so excited to follow your journey!

  4. Dear Cindy,
Praying for You, Dennis, and Adalyn and sharing this site with my contacts. God is truly working through your prayers. As I asked friends and contacts to Chip-in, I am reminded of a simple statement a Sister-in-Christ shared -"God does not need money-He needs your heart" My prayer is the hearts of many will be touched by your Faith journey and Adalyn's story and give much to help.
I am blessed to know you, my friend and sister,
    Helen Mann
